We support a statement on behalf of and in support of Iranian women to condemn the Iranian regime’s atrocities against women, LGBTQI+ people and religious and ethnic minorities.
Since March 2023, WILPF has been supporting a collective of Iranian women activists to support their struggle for freedom and calls for accountability for gender-based discrimination and violence in Iran that likely amounts to gender persecution. Now, a year on from the murder of Mahsa Jina Amini at the hands of Iran’s morality police and the start of protests across Iran, we are supporting Iranian women’s calls for feminist solidarity and support to the Woman, Life, Freedom movement.
We are sharing a statement on behalf of and in support of Iranian women, endorsed by 25 organisations from around the world that calls for the condemnation of the Iranian Regime’s atrocities against women, LGBTQI+ people, and religious and ethnic minorities, and to take solidarity actions in support of their movement for freedom.
